Bernice “Bonnie” Alice Ettinger, of North Bend,  passed away on Jan. 18, 2012. She was 84 years old.

Bonnie was born in Crescent City on Jan. 23, 1927, to Elwood and Gladyce Stotenburg. 

She married Allan Ettinger in North Bend in 1952. 

The couple lived in Brookings until 1990 when they moved to Madras and then to Prineville in 1998. 

She and Allan took their three children on family vacations in the Northwest United States and continued to travel during their retirement years. She will be remembered fondly as a wonderful mother and grandmother and a great cook to them and their families and friends.

Bonnie is survived by daughter Julie Woodman and husband Steve of North Bend; daughter Jan Schink and husband Andrew of Eugene; and son Allan “Jack” T. Ettinger III and wife Tara of Helix; three grandsons: Garret Woodman of Reno, Nev., Joseph and Rylee Ettinger of Helix.

She was preceded in death by her husband Allan who passed away in December 2007.
