Belva “Louise” Talley

Belva “Louise” Talley, 73, of Brookings, died peacefully in her sleep Jan. 5, 2013, in Springfield.

She was born May 4, 1939, in Red Oak, Okla., to J.M. and Mary Henderson. When Louise was 2 years old, the family headed west to San Francisco.

After graduating from South City High School, Louise worked for Pacific Bell Telephone Co. in the  San Francisco Bay Area. Upon retiring from Pacific Bell, Louise continued to work several years at Ayoobs Department Store in Chester, Calif., where she lived with her husband Lee Talley.

Louise and Lee retired to Brookings, where they enjoyed being with friends at their favorite establishments — Pancho’s and O’Holleran’s restaurants.

Lee preceded Louise in death. Their laughter and camaraderie will be greatly missed!

Louise is survived by her son Conrad of Eugene; grandson Raymond of Boston; and granddaughter Emily of Eugene.

Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.

 Submitted by the family.
