Arthur "Art" William Whiting

Arthur Art William Whiting, 64, Brookings, died June 4, 2000, as the result of an automobile accident in Grants Pass.

He was born June 26, 1935, in San Francisco, Calif.

He married Joyce (Milet) Whiting in Reno, Nev., Feb. 10, 1983. He and his wife moved to Brookings in 1998.

He was a member of the South Coast Fishermans Association. He enjoyed fishing and sailboat racing.

Survivors are wife Joyce Whiting, Brookings; daughters Virginia Dickson, Tacoma, Wash.; Kathy Tyler, Cotati, Calif.; Lynda Jacobson, Petaluma, Calif.; sons Bob Whiting, San Jose, Calif.; Arthur Whiting, Cotati, Calif.; sister Doris Kesicker, Philomath.

Also surviving are 16 grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the South Coast Fishermans Association, P.O. Box 2709, Harbor, OR 97415.

Memorial services are scheduled for June 9 at 2 p.m. at Hull & Hull Chapel, 612 N.W. A St., Grants Pass.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hull & Hull Funeral Directors in Grants Pass.
