Albert Roscoe Holley, 78, Crescent City, died July 5, 2000.
He was born June 16, 1922, in Eclectic, Ala.
Mr. Holley was a U.S. Army veteran having served during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W. Post and Elks Lodge 1934 in Brookings.
He retired from Local Piper Fitter Union 250 in Los Angeles. He was in the industry for more than 50 years.
Survivors are wife Dorothy Holley, Brookings; daughter and son-in-law Diane and Mark Vande Pol of Los Gatos, Calif.; granddaughters Natalie and Katherine Vande Pol; brothers Heflin Holley, Samuel R. Holley and Byron Holley, all of Alabama; sister Eunice Greene, North Carolina.
Also surviving is his favorite companion, his cat Gus.
Family and friends are invited to attend the memorial services July 16 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Brookings Elks Lodge 1934.
The family requests contributions be made to the South Coast Humane Society, 620 Hemlock St., Brookings, OR 97415.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wiers Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City.
