George R. Thacker



Former Brookings resident George R. Thacker, 50, of Wilder, Idaho, died July 23, 2012, in Wilder. 

He attended school in Wallowa County, and  then moved to Brookings, where he worked many years on a rock crusher and paving crew. He had been living in Wilder and working with his father for the past few years.  

He was an avid fisherman and hunter. 

George is survived by his life partner Roberta Williams of Brookings; mother Dorothy Daggett of Prineville; father L.R. Thacker of Wilder; mother-in-law Rosie Williams of Brookings; daughters Tahler Thacker of Brookings and Faith of Idaho; brothers Ivan, Mike, and Jerry; sisters Sherry and Patty. Also surviving are five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss him very much  

A celebration of life will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, at 316 Memory Lane, in Brookings.
