Nathan Wayne Williams, 21, of Gold Beach, was indicted by the Curry County Grand Jury Tuesday on charges relating to the death of Autumn Barnhart, 21, of Charleston.

When Barnhart's body was discovered near Williams' Gold Beach residence Nov. 26, it was determined by law enforcement authorities to be suspicious and an investigation as a possible homicide began, according to Curry County District Attorney Charlie Steak

Williams was taken into custody and was being held on allegations of probation violation, Steak said.

Curry County's major crime team, with assistance from Oregon State Police forensics experts, has been conducting the investigation.

Williams is expected to be arraigned on the charges connected with Barnhart's death today or Thursday, Steak said.
