Travelers are warned to expect long afternoon construction delays on US 101 south of Port Orford today (Aug. 25) and Monday, Aug. 27
The Oregon Department of Transportation will be repairing the Kobernik Slide Complex on US 101 at the area of mileposts 304 and 305.
US 101 will be reduced to a single lane of traffic at milepost 304, about three miles south of Port Orford. A temporary signal will provide traffic control. Flaggers will provide additional traffic control as needed. Watch for workers and construction vehicles.
This afternoon, motorists should expect long delays – up to one hour – on US 101 at milepost 304. The delays will allow the contractor to move large equipment through the project area. Watch for message boards and flaggers. Emergency service vehicles will be given priority through the construction zone.
On Monday, Aug. 27, motorists should expect similar afternoon delays at the same location.
