 The Pilot/Jane Stebbins Armed forces representatives raise their respective flags over a grassy hillside at Ward Memorial Cemetery Wednesday afternoon. The flags – U.S. Marine, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine, Army, POW-MIA and the Stars and Stripes – represent the completion of the veterans’ memorial there. The flagpoles are placed in a “V” for “victory,” said VFW Post Commander Rick Bremer. |
