ODOT and prime contractor Legacy Contracting plan to begin construction on the Harris Beach Multiuse Path project this week.
According to the contractor’s latest schedule, there will be a continuation of lane closures with flaggers today (July 16) for the placement of temporary barriers. Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures the next week and a half.
Starting Monday, Legacy plans to begin driving pile south of Dawson Road along the west side of U.S. 101. This will be a noisy process that will take several weeks. All pile-driving will be done during daylight hours, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. U.S. 101 will be limited to a single-lane of traffic for most of August. Flaggers will provide traffic control.
The city will provide more information as it becomes available.
