Two Brookings residents were arrested Tuesday and charged with possession, manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance – methamphetamine.
Julie C. Peterson, 37, and David R. Westbury, 35, were taken to the Curry County Jail, where they were lodged, Curry County Sheriff John Bishop said. Bishop said the Brookings Police Department and the Curry County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from Del Norte County, served a narcotics search warrant at 15061 Highway 101 south, space No. 2 at 7:30 a.m. During the search, several grams of methamphetamine were found and seized along with cash, the sheriff said. Bishop said the investigation is continuing by all agencies involved. |
