Both traffic lanes were closed on Highway 197 (North Bank Road) this afternoon (Feb. 27), about one mile from U.S. Highway 101.
A loaded semi-truck flipped over at approximately 2 p.m., blocking the roadway and scattering lumber products and fuel. No injuries have been reported and no other vehicles were involved, according the the California Highway Patrol.
An environmental health crew was dispatched from Central Point to clean up 10 gallons of hydraulic fuel spilled on the roadway. Ten gallons of diesel were also reported spilled on the roadway. Debris and sheets of board were catapulted into the river. There’s no word yet on when the road will be cleared.
