The Quiet American plays in Pistol River

The Pistol River Concert Association announces the appearance of The Quiet American at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at the Pistol River Friendship Hall.

The Quiet American is husband and wife duo Aaron and Nicole Keim.

Their music incorporates traditional ballads, banjo breakdowns, raggy choruses, gospel duets and other Americana gems, all delivered on a variety of acoustic instruments, according to a news release.

At a single microphone, Aaron and Nicole present a concert experience that pays tribute to old-time folk music traditions, yet strives to connect to a modern audience, the news release said.  They will be joined on stage by bassist Ronnie Ontiveros.

The Pistol River Friendship Hall is at 24252 Carpenterville Road.

Tickets are $15 and are available at Wright’s Custom Framing and Art Supplies in Brookings and at Gold Beach Books in Gold Beach. Tickets may also be reserved online at http://www.pistolriver.com or by calling 541-247-2848.
