Twelve youths ranging in age from 5 to 16 will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 26, for the Rising Stars Talent Parade.
The young people will perform musical numbers, either vocally, with an instrument; dance, or perform a comedic routine on the Harbor Performing Arts Center stage in the Brookings-Harbor Shopping Center.
There are no prizes; this is not a contest. Rising Stars is an opportunity for the youth in the community to take the stage with the benefit of lights and sound, said Dori Blodgett, president of Brookings-Harbor Community Theater, the group hosting the event. The community is invited to attend the performance for a donation of $5 for youth, $7 for adults, or $25 for larger families.
Popcorn and beverages will be on sale in the snack bar. All proceeds from the evening will benefit theater youth programs.
KBSC-TV will be on hand to film and air the performances.
