Brookings-Harbor residents did not let the blustery weather dampen their holiday spirit this year.
Businesses, residents and boat owners draped their buildings and vessels with brightly colored lights and ornaments to brighten the dark and drizzly night sky.
The Brookings-Harbor Chamber of Commerce had plenty of dazzling displays to choose from while searching for their winners for the 2002 Festival of Lights.
At Home by the Sea on Chetco Avenue won first place in the commercial window division.
Last year's winner, That Special Touch Florist and Gifts, also on Chetco Avenue, took second place.
Mark Doughty's home on Fawn Drive placed first in the residential division and Jason and Kristi Fulton on Jodee Lane placed second.
Doughty's home is not pictured because the display was not lit and no one was home at the time the winners were being photographed.
In the commercial building category, Driftwood RV Park and Portside RV Park, both on Lower Harbor Road, took first and second place.
Mike Blank's boat won the boat decorating category and Dan and Bethany Thompson's boat won second place.
