Nearly 300 people filled the multi-purpose room at Brookings-Harbor High School for the 2008 prom which had the theme "Enchanted Elegance."

Keeping with the theme, those attending the grandest dance of the school year were dressed elegantly as they danced to music provided by deejays Party of Four from Coquille, socialized in the courtyard where volunteers served cake and non-alcoholic daiquiris and had pictures taken by Memories by Deanna of Brookings.

As people attending the event entered the building's foyer, the first order of business was to cast a vote for prom king and queen. Chosen for the honor were Blake Peters and Kelsey Barnes. Other members of the senior court were Nick Taresh and Olivia Buscho, A.J Weber and Jessica Goergen, and Mark Aguirre and Jenni Sirchuck. Members of the junior class court were Kyle Byers and Ashley Murray, Chris Bones and Chanay Humphrey, and Mark Stevens and Haley Fleshman.

Helping to put the prom together were Mike Snyder, Lorna Silver, Sue McKinney, Molly Nelson, Ann Whaley, Dee Dee Corpening, Vanessa Keys, Deanna Bansemer, Kristi Bansemer, Donna Fleshman, Robert Carrillo, Robin LaThorpe, Kathleen Dingle, Colee Peters, Adam VanCleave, Art Dingle, Emmalie Lee, Ernie Hinze, Flora Pacifica, Chetco Federal Credit Union, Brookings Police Department reserve officers, and Junior Class Advisors Tina Peters and Debbie Moncrief.
