Students in Kalmiopsis Elementary School spent an extra day of school last Saturday to create table centerpieces which will be auctioned during today’s (Jan. 25) Southern Oregon Crabfest at the Port of Brookings Harbor.

The centerpieces will be auctioned following the crab dinner.

Flora Pacifica provided all the materials and plants for the children to create a centerpiece. A few made more than one. Saturday morning, the children flocked inside a Flora Pacifica greenhouse and were instructed on what they could do.

Children painted clay pots, added seashells, and planted succulents as they desired.

For complete information about today’s Crabfest, see Page 1A.
