Resonance, a new a cappella chamber choir in Brookings, will present a free concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 22, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 770 Elk Drive, Brookings. Choir members include sopranos Myra Shelley, Bonnie Raleigh and Lorna Rodriguez; altos Jamie Ryan, Leslie Wolf, and Holly Hatch; tenors John Webster, Lorraine Gordon and Jef Hatch; and basses Mike Porter, Joe Teresi and Bruce Raleigh. The choir is directed by Holly Hatch. Resonance offers a wide variety of musical styles, including Renaissance madrigals, love songs, show tunes, and more modern sacred music, with occasional vocal solos and instrumental interludes. A preview of a few of the concert selections was presented at the last Second Saturday Art Walk. The concert is suitable for all ages. Refreshments will be served after the performance.
