The 17th annual Mr. BHHS competition will pit five young men in a competition for the king’s crown.
The event, which is a Brookings-Harbor High School fundraiser benefiting Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 30, at Redwood Theater, 621 Chetco Ave., Brookings. Admission is $5.
In this parody of the Azalea Scholarship Pageant, the contestants will take the audience to the magical wizardry world of Harry Potter as contestants Alex Garibay, Steven Nagel, Jesse Carson, Alec McBride and Perry Ryan deliver a larger-than-life magical performance, according to members of the Doernbecher Committee at BHHS.
Members of the audience can show their support for their favorite teen by buying a personalized team T-shirt. The cost is $12 for one or $20 for two, which includes admission into the show.
Also, don’t forget to bring extra cash for the annual Dash for Cash, where each contestant will run through the audience with a bucket to see who can collect the most money for the hospital.
