Easter will be bringing plenty of activities for children with Easter egg hunts providing plenty of prizes.
Highlighting the events is the biggest hunt of them all, with thousands of eggs hidden by members of the Brookings Elks Lodge and Emblem Club around Azalea Park.
The hunt will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 30. As in past years, it is advised to be on time as the eggs are scooped up in a matter of minutes.
In case of rain, the hunt will be moved to the Elks Lodge, 800 Elk Drive, Brookings.
Following at noon, Brookings-Harbor Shopping Center will host an egg hunt.
The hunt will be divided into four age groups. Free candy and prizes will be part of the hunt.
The shopping center is in Harbor, accessed from Highway 101 via Zimmerman Lane.
Participants should bring their own baskets to either hunt.
On Sunday, churches will be holding Easter services which will include egg hunts.
Brookings Church of the Nazarene, 1600 Chetco Ave., will have an Easter egg hunt at 9:45 a.m.
Living Waters Foursquare Church, 1136 Fifeld St., Brookings, will have an Easter egg hunt following an Easter banquet that begins about 12:30 p.m.
