•An early Mother’s Day wildflower walk will be led by State Park Interpretive Ranger Angela Stewart from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Crissey Field State Park on Highway 101 at the state line.

•Free drift boat trips will be offered by the Chetco River Watershed Council from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Loeb State Park. Free hot dogs and soda will be served. The event provides an opportunity for the public to learn about the health of the Chetco River and receive other information from biologists. Participants of drift boat trips must bring their own life vests. The event is canceled in the event of heavy rain. For information, call 541-661-1820.

•Alzheimer’s Support Group will meet at 2 p.m. in the Chetco Activity Center dining room, 550 Chetco Lane, Brookings. The group is for anyone who cares for, or has a family member living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia. The facilitators are Bharti Patel and Dana Maciel.

•The Pregnancy Care Center of Brookings, located at 344 Pacific Ave., offers free and confidential pregnancy tests, education on all pregnancy options, parenting classes, baby and maternity items and more. The center is open from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays and 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays. Client classes are offered on Tuesdays. •CC’s Cancer Resource Center offers free counseling and resource options daily to women addressing cancer issues. The resource center is inside CC’s Upscale Resale Clothing Store in the Brookings-Harbor Shopping Center in Harbor. The center is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
