Wednesday, May 30

•The Wednesday Farmers Market will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Chetco Grange Community Center, 97895 Shopping Center Ave., Harbor. 

•Kids Club meets at Living Waters Foursquare Church, 1136 Fifield St., at 7 p.m. Children 3 years old through sixth grade are invited.

•FACE Cancer Support Group meets at 12:30 p.m. at Chetco Community Public Library, 405 Alder St., Brookings. For information, call Marie Kirk at 541-412-7977.

•Curry County Master Gardeners will have a plant clinic from 9 a.m. to noon at the Oregon State University Extension Office at the Event Center on the Beach, 29392 Ellensburg Ave., Gold Beach. Master Gardeners will be available to help with plant identification, plant problems, diseases and insects, and to give suggestions on what might grow best in the area. Thursday, May 31

•Dr. Jan Hammer, a veterinarian at Town and County Animal Clinic, will present a dog behavior talk titled “A Waggin’ Tail Doesn’t Always Mean A Happy Dog,” at 7 p.m. in the Harbor Water District meeting room, 98069 W. Benham Lane. The event is free. Donations will be accepted for Pennies for Pooches.

•Chetco Chatterers Toastmasters meets at 7 a.m. at the Curry Coastal Pilot conference room, 507 Chetco Ave., Brookings. Enter through the back door along Art Walk Alley. Guests and all Toastmasters are welcome.

•Kalmiopsis Audubon Society will host a birding trip to Gardner Ridge. Meet at 8 a.m. in the gravel parking lot next to Dr. Brian Larsson’s office, 414 Alder St., Brookings, to carpool to the site. •The sixth annual Dog Days of Summer dog and car wash will be in the Les Schwab Tire Center parking lot 801 Chetco Ave., Brookings. Funds raised by this 4-H event go toward Curry County Fair premiums. 

•Bees and Blooms will be presented during a three-mile hike led by Laura Julan, botanist, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Tolowa Dunes State Park, 2591 Lake Earl Drive, Crescent City.

Monday, June 4

•The Curry County Mac Users Group will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Kalmiopsis Elementary School room 51, 650 Easy St., Brookings. The meeting is free and open to Mac users of all experience levels. •The Pregnancy Care Center of Brookings, located at 344 Pacific Ave., offers free and confidential pregnancy tests, education on all pregnancy options, parenting classes, baby and maternity items and more. The center is open from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays and 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays. Client classes are offered on Tuesdays. •CC’s Cancer Resource Center offers free counseling and resource options daily to women addressing cancer issues. The resource center is inside CC’s Upscale Resale Clothing Store in the Brookings-Harbor Shopping Center in Harbor. The center is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The resource center also hosts Tea at Ten group meetings every Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. For information, call 541-469-2072.
