Grace Lutheran Church hosts free family Soup Suppers at 6 p.m. during Advent every Wednesday through Dec. 19. The suppers take place at the church, 188 E. Cooper Ave., Crescent City.

Nature’s Coastal Holiday features  thousands of lights twinkling in Azalea Park in Brookings. The show will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. daily through Christmas.

The annual Elks Hoop Shoot will be at 9 a.m. in the Brookings-Harbor High School gym, 625 Pioneer Road, Brookings.

Democrats of Curry County will host a holiday open house from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Democratic Headquarters, 619 Chetco Ave., Brookings. The party will celebrate the Winter Solstice, Pagan Yule, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and Festivus. Finger foods, mulled wine and holiday treats will be served.
