•League of Women Voters will have its second in a series of candidate forums from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Port Orford Public Library, 1421 Oregon St. The nine Curry County commissioner candidates have been invited.
•Lunch and Learn at Chetco Activity Center will present Dana Maciel, R.N., discussing the signs and symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease. The lecture will be from 11:45 to 12:30 p.m. at the center, 550 Chetco Lane, Brookings.
•The Wednesday Farmers Market will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Chetco Grange Community Center, 97895 Shopping Center Ave., Harbor.

The group will discuss “The Invention of Hugo Cabret” by Brian Selznick. April is poetry month, so bring a short poem to read and discuss. Everyone is welcome.
•Brookings-Harbor Redshirts invites the public to help pack boxes to send to American troops serving overseas. The group meets at 2 p.m. at Lighthouse Assembly of God, 15803 Highway 101, Harbor. •CC’s Cancer Resource Center offers free counseling and resource options daily to women addressing cancer issues.
