•The Brookings-Harbor Progressives’ Second Saturday Brunch will be a no-host gathering at The Flying Gull Restaurant, 1153 Chetco Ave., Brookings. Call 541-469-1970 for more information.

•Brookings-Harbor Community Theater will have its Giant Rummage Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Brookings-Harbor Shopping Center community room between Shop Smart and Pharmacy Express. •The Elks Show Exchange will be from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Brookings Elks Lodge lower level, 800 Elk Drive. Shoes, sandals, work boots, dress boots and sports cleats are available in all sizes from infant to adult size 13. All are in good shape and are available for free. Shoe donations accepted.

•Bingo is played at Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 820 Old County Road, Brookings. Quarter bingo starts at 11 a.m. and regular bingo, with a $10 buy-in, follows at 1 p.m. Games are played in a non-smoking environment. Lunch and snacks are served.

•Brookings-Harbor Redshirts invites the public to help pack boxes to send to American troops serving overseas. The group meets at 2 p.m. at Lighthouse Assembly of God, 15803 Highway 101, Harbor. Donations of food, snacks and hygiene items are always welcome. The group also accepts the address of any American soldier serving overseas.
