Monday, Feb. 20

•The Brookings-Harbor Garden Club meets in the Brookings Inn Resort conference center, 1143 Chetco Ave. A social time begins at 11 a.m. followed by the meeting at 11:30. Afterward, Frank Burris, Curry County extension coordinator who has an interest in botany and natural resource management, will present “Water Conservation in the Garden.” Anyone interested in gardening is invited to attend.

•Pennies for Pooches sponsors a rabies clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Curry County Animal Shelter, 29921 Airport Way, Gold Beach. The cost is a $10 donation. Dr. Jan Jammer from Town and County Animal Clinic will be available to administer any other shots dogs may need.

•Alzheimer’s Support Group meets at 2 p.m. in the Chetco Activity Center dining room, 550 Chetco Lane, Brookings. The group is for anyone who cares for, or has a family member living with Alzheimer’s Disease or other dementia. The group’s facilitators are Bharti Patel and Dana Maciel of Ocean Park.

•Coastal Rebels will meet for lunch at 1 p.m. at Sebastians Seafood Grill, 16011 Boat Basin Road, Harbor. 

•Dual Diagnosis Anonymous meets from 11 a.m. to noon at the Pacific Crossroads Drop-In Center, 2 Ross Road, Brookings. The group is a fellowship of people who share their experiences, strengths, weaknesses, feelings, fears and hopes with one another to resolve dual diagnosis. It is a 12+5-step program. •The Del Norte International Folkdancers invites adults who want to get moving to join the group from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Del Norte Senior Center, 1765 Northcrest Drive, Crescent City. No experience or partner is necessary. There is no charge to participate. Beginning dances from around the world will be taught the first 45 minutes, with request dancing afterward. •A free exercise class is offered by the Chetco Activity Center from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. in the Seventh-day Adventist Church lower level, 102 Park Ave., Brookings. •South Coast Linux Users Group will meet at 7 p.m. in the Chetco Community Public Library small meeting room, 405 Alder St., Brookings. How to install, update and use this free and open source computer operating system  will be discussed. Meetings are open to everyone. There are no dues or fees. Thursday, Feb. 23

•The Pregnancy Care Center of Brookings, located at 344 Pacific Ave., offers free and confidential pregnancy tests, education on all pregnancy options, parenting classes, baby and maternity items and more. The center is open from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays and 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays. Client classes are offered on Tuesdays. •Oasis Shelter Home provides a haven for women and their children to be free of domestic violence, sexual abuse and resulting homelessness. •CC’s Cancer Resource Center offers free counseling and resource options daily to women addressing cancer issues.
