Dedication ceremonies for the Curry County Veterans Memorial will take place at the south end of Gold Beach near the visitor center. All are welcome.

Temple Beth Shalom meets at 10 a.m. for Yom Kippur services at the temple, 956 J St., Crescent City.

Kalmiopsis Audubon Society will have a birding field trip to Lake Earl near Crescent City. Meet at 8 a.m. on the northeast corner of Alder Street and Spruce Drive to carpool. Crescent Harbor Gallery will have its annual Salmon Feed from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the gallery, 140 Marine Way, Crescent City. Sammy Gensaw will prepare Yurok smoked salmon, which will be served with coleslaw, baked beans and bread. The cost is a $12.50 donation to the gallery.

Trinity Lutheran Church will host a churchwide rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a $1 a bag clothing sale the final hour. The sale will be at the church, 1200 Easy St., Brookings. For more information, call 541-469-3411.

The Farmers & Artisans Market is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Port of Brookings Harbor boardwalk. The event will be every Saturday through Oct. 5.

The Saturday Farmer’s Market is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays at the Del Norte County Fairgrounds parking lot, 421 Highway 101 N., Crescent City.

A vendors market operates every Saturday outside Oceanside Diner at the Port of Brookings Harbor.

The Brookings-Harbor Shoe Exchange will be from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Brookings Elks Lodge lower level, 800 Elk Drive. Shoes of different styles are available in all sizes. All are in good shape and are available for free. Donations of shoes in any condition are accepted at shoe bins at Ray’s Food Place in Brookings, Shop Smart in Harbor, Smith River School and Julindra Recycling in Crescent City. Sunday, Sept. 15

Curry Health Foundation hosts its annual Champagne Jet Boat Dinner Cruise. Tickets are $75 and are available at Interior Coverups in Gold Beach or by calling 541-247-3189. The event begins with a bon voyage reception at noon at Happy Days Malt Shop in Gold Beach. Dinner will be at Singing Springs Resort in Agness. The boat returns to Gold Beach about 6 p.m.

Love Your Neighbor, an outreach of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, distributes free sack lunches from 12:30 to 1 p.m. at the church, 401 Fir St., Brookings. The lunch includes a sandwich, fruit, snack, bottled water and coffee.  For more information, call 541-469-3314.

A beach grass pulling party will be from 1 to 4 p.m. at Tolowa Dunes State Park, 2591 Old Mill Road, Crescent City. Thursday, Sept. 19

Friday, Sept. 20

CC’s Cancer Resource Center offers free counseling and resource options daily to women addressing cancer issues.
