Saturday, Nov. 23

Nature’s Coastal Holiday is in need of volunteers to finish setting up lights in Azalea Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Volunteers are also needed from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24.

U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden will have his annual town hall meeting at 2:30 p.m. at the Chetco Activity Center, 550 Chetco Lane, Brookings.

Macklyn House will have an open house and offer tours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the assisted living facility, 755 Elk Drive, Brookings. Musical entertainment will be provided by Ray Kornell on piano.

His Place, a new teen center and Christian conference grounds, will have an open house and dedication service from 1 to 4 p.m. The grounds are at the former Brookings Christian Fellowship, 18881 Cornett Road, Cape Ferrelo.

The Cape Ferrelo Fire Department fish fry will be from 1 to 7 p.m. at the fire hall, 96349 Cape Ferrelo Road. Dinner and raffle tickets are available from department volunteers, at Chetco Music Co., Town and Country Animal Clinic or at the event. For more information, call 541-469-5637.

The Crescent City Emblem Club’s 19th annual Festival of Trees opens at 9:30 a.m. at the Del Norte County Fairgrounds, 421 Highway 101 N., Crescent City. 

The Saturday Farmer’s Market is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays at the Del Norte County Fairgrounds parking lot, 421 Highway 101 N., Crescent City.

A vendors market operates every Saturday outside Oceanside Diner at the Port of Brookings Harbor.

Veterans Service Officer Kimberly O’Neal will be at Macklyn House, 755 Elk Drive, Brookings, at 2 p.m. During a talk, she will give information for spouses of veterans.

The Azalea Quilt Guild will meet in the Driftwood Estates mobile home park community room, 16063 Driftwood Lane, Harbor. Fun Day begins at 10 a.m. with Doni Boyd teaching how to make fabric postcards. Evening activities begin at 6 with a social, followed by the meeting at 6:30. CC’s Cancer Resource Center offers free counseling and resource options daily to women addressing cancer issues.
