Movie night at Langlois Public Library will feature “Turtles Can Fly,” a 2004 Kurdish war drama set in Iraq. This was the first film produced in Iraq after the fall of Saddam Hussein. The film will be shown at 6 p.m. The library is at 48234 Highway 101.

A smoking cessation class will take place during the Lifelong Learning Series at 1 p.m. in the Sea View Senior Living Community activity loft, 98059 Gerlach Lane, Harbor. Smith River United Methodist Church will have a holiday bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church, 121 Beckstead Ave. Baked goods, jewelry, collectibles, toys, Christmas and assorted treasures will be for sale. A homemade soup and bread luncheon begins at 11 a.m. The event continues the same hours on Saturday, Nov. 16.

The Pregnancy Care Center of Brookings, located at 344 Pacific Ave., offers free and confidential pregnancy tests, education on all pregnancy options, parenting classes, baby and maternity items and more. CC’s Cancer Resource Center offers free counseling and resource options daily to women addressing cancer issues.
