A ranger-led walk along Sunset Point Trail will be offered at Harris Beach State Park. Meet at 7 p.m. near the Junior Ranger Yurt for this one-hour walk. Angela Stewart will point out what plants are good to eat, what is good medicine, and which plants are poisonous. For more information, call 541-469-2021.

Kalmiopsis Audubon Society is sponsoring a hike to the proposed Veva Stansell Botanical Area and a hike to Signal Buttes. The length of the hike is 4.25 miles with an 840-foot elevation gain. Wear well-worn hiking footwear, bring a lunch, snack and water.  Meet at 8:15 a.m. at Dr. Larsson’s office, 414 Alder St., Brookings, or at 9 a.m. at the Gold Beach Visitor Center. The Pregnancy Care Center of Brookings, located at 344 Pacific Ave., offers free and confidential pregnancy tests, education on all pregnancy options, parenting classes, baby and maternity items and more.
