Retired Hollywood film producer Elmo Williams will take part in a 100th birthday motorcade beginning at noon at the Chetco Playhouse, 1240 Chetco Ave., Brookings. The mini-parade will proceed west on Chetco Ave, turn right on Oak Street then Railroad Street, where it will end at Mill Beach Road. The public is welcome greet Elmo from the sidewalks.
Oregon Department of Transportation will hold an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Harbor Water District meeting room, 98069 W. Benham Lane. The purpose of the open house is to discuss its U.S. 101 Corridor Plan from the Chetco River to the Oregon/California border.
