The Brookings-Harbor Shoe Exchange will be from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Brookings Elks Lodge lower level, 800 Elk Drive. Shoes are available in all sizes. All are in good shape and are available for free. Donations of shoes in any condition are accepted at shoe bins at the Brookings Elks Lodge lower level, Smith River School and Julindra Recycling in Crescent City. The Safe and Sober Bruin Bash Auction will be at 6 p.m. in the Brookings-Harbor High School cafeteria, 625 Pioneer Road, Brookings. Live and silent auctions will take place. Refreshments will be served.

The Saturday Walk N Talks will be a ranger-led wildflower hike along the Riverview Trail at Loeb State Park. The event is scheduled from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Meet at the Loeb day-use parking lot for this 1.25-mile moderate-grade hike.

Muscle Busters will host a geology and plant identification hike to the Hunter Creek Bog southeast of Gold Beach. Meet at Dr. Larsson’s office, 414 Alder St., Brookings, to car pool. Curry County Master Gardeners will hold a plant sale from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Forestry and Floral buildings at the Event Center on the Beach, 29392 Ellensburg Ave., Gold Beach. 

The Mother of All 5Ks Fun Run and Walk will begin at 9 a.m. at the North Coast Marine Mammal Center, 424 Howe Drive, Crescent City.

The Ruby Van Deventer Wildflower Show will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Del Norte County Fairgrounds, 421 Highway 101 N., Crescent City. The show will feature displays of wildflowers and carnivorous plants, as well as Native American uses of plants and the geology of the area. 

A hike along the Stony Creek Trail in Gasquet will be in conjunction with the Ruby Van Deventer Wildflower Show. This moderate, uneven trail is 2 miles round trip. Meet at 12:30 p.m. at the Arts and Crafts Building at the Del Norte County Fairgrounds, 421 Highway 101 N., Crescent City, or at 1 p.m. at the Gasquet Store, 10350 Highway 199. The Innominata Garden Club will host a flower show from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Floral Building at the Event Center on the Beach, 29392 Ellensburg Ave., Gold Beach.

The 27th annual America’s Wild Rivers Coast Wine and Music Festival will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Event Center on the Beach, 29392 Ellensburg Ave., Gold Beach. Admission on Friday is $10, Saturday is $12 or a two-day pass is $15 for guests 21 and older, which includes a limited-edition, commemorative wine glass and a free tasting. Guests younger than 21 are admitted free.

A benefit car wash will be from 9:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the Harbor Fire Station, 98069 W. Benham Lane. Proceeds will benefit a firefighter whose home was destroyed last month. Donations may be made to the Simpson Family at Rogue Federal Credit Union.

Community Kitchens offers free meals from noon to 1 p.m. at Azalea Middle School, 505 Pacific Ave.,  Brookings.

A free health clinic for the uninsured will be from 1 to 4 p.m. in the St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church lower level, 401 Fir St., Brookings. Vietnam Veterans of America will meet at 6 p.m. at the Brookings Elks Lodge lower level, 800 Elk Drive, Brookings. A potluck dinner follows the meeting. All veterans are welcome.

The Interesting Langlois series will be a talk by Kean Fleming who will give a presentation on the Port Orford Co-op. The program will be at 6 p.m. at the Langlois Public Library, 48234 Highway 101.
