Visana Wellness is hosting a health talk titled “Cholesterol and Heart Disease: Facts and Fiction,” at 6 p.m. at Visana Yoga Studio, 603 Hemlock St., Brookings. For more information, call 541-469-9100.

Del Norte County residents are being asked to participate in a full tsunami evacuation exercise from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event takes place on the 50th anniversary of the tsunami that struck Crescent City in 1964. For information, call 707-954-8775.

Knights of Columbus will have a fish fry in commemoration of the Lenten season from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 820 Old County Road, Brookings. Trash Dogs will meet at 9 a.m. in the parking lot in front of the garden area at Fred Meyer, 325 Fifth St., Brookings. The group plans to clean up areas along Forest Service roads 1107 and 1983 in the vicinity of Mount Emily. Wear work clothes. Gloves and drinking water will be supplied.
