The city of Brookings will dedicate the new Mill Beach access at noon. The access is at the end of Macklyn Cove Road off Mill Beach Road.

Kalmiopsis Audubon Society will lead a birding trip to the Port of Brookings Harbor. Meet at 8 a.m. in the Azalea Middle School parking lot, 505 Pacific Ave., Brookings. Volunteers will help people spot whales from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. during Whale Watch Week at locations from Crescent City to Ilwaco, Wash. The Pregnancy Care Center of Brookings, located at 344 Pacific Ave., offers free and confidential pregnancy tests, education on all pregnancy options, parenting classes, baby and maternity items and more.
