Brookings Flying Club presents Airport Day at the Brookings Airport at the end of Parkview Drive. Events begin at 8 a.m. with a pancake breakfast. The cost for breakfast is $6.50 and includes pancakes, eggs, sausage and a drink. Airplanes will be on display beginning at 8 a.m. Rides will be available for $20. The event continues until no more people show up. All proceeds benefit Brookings-Harbor Scholarship Foundation.
The Tsunami Sirens will be hosting the Red Bluff Derby Girls at the Del Norte County Fairgrounds, 421 Highway 101 N., Crescent City. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the bout begins at 6:30. The 21st annual Southern Oregon Kite Festival will take to the skies all day above the kite field along Boat Basin Road at the Port of Brookings Harbor.
