A bag sale will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hospice Market Place, 94144 Wedderburn Loop, Gold Beach. Clothing will be sold for $5 a bag, books for $3 a bag and remaining inventory priced as marked.

The Curry County Chapter of Oregon Oath Keepers will meet at the Chetco Activity Center, 550 Chetco Lane, Brookings. The group will discuss the formation of Civilization Preservation Teams. The meeting is open to the public. Oath Keepers is an association of current and former military, police, first responders and citizens who pledge to fulfill the oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Southern Oregon Dress a Girl Around the World and Days for Girls meets from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Living Waters Foursquare Church, 1136 Fifield St., Brookings. Bring a sewing machine to make pillowcase dresses or T-shirt britches for children in Uganda. Donations of pillowcases and T-shirts are welcome. Friends of Curry Public Library will have its annual Book and Bake Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Cannery Building, 29975 Harbor Drive, Gold Beach. The sale will continue from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17. The bake sale will be Saturday and Sunday. A $2 a bag sale will be on Monday.

South Coast Woodturners meets from 1 to 5 p.m. at YMT Woodworks, 97730 South Bank Underpass Road, Brookings. The driveway begins underneath the Chetco River bridge. There will be a show and tell. Participants may bring a wood project to show, or to ask for advice. There will also be a demonstration. 

The Great Backyard Bird Count, a global citizen-science project co-sponsored by National Audubon and Cornell Lab of Ornithology, will be throughout Curry County through Monday, Feb. 17. Brookings Harbor Community Theater will hold a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the community room at the Brookings-Harbor Shopping Center in Harbor. The sale will continue from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, with a bag sale from 2 to 4 p.m. 

A vendors market operates every Saturday outside Oceanside Diner at the Port of Brookings Harbor.

Curry County Cruisers will meet for a no-host lunch at 1 p.m. followed by a meeting at 1:45 at Oceanside Diner, 16372 Lower Harbor Road, Harbor. All car enthusiasts are encouraged to attend. Brookings Emblem Club 265’s military mail program hosts its Americanism Breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Brookings Elks Lodge, 800 Elk Drive. The menu includes chicken-fried steak, sausage or ham with pancakes, eggs, juice and coffee. The cost is $7,50 for adults and $3.50 for children younger than 12. Alzheimer’s Support Group will meet at 2 p.m. in the Chetco Activity Center dining room, 550 Chetco Lane, Brookings. The group is for anyone who cares for, or has a family member living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia. The facilitators are Bharti Patel and Dana Maciel.

Wild Rivers Connect is hosting a Cash Mob at 5:30 p.m. Donation tables will be at Ray’s Food Place stores in Brookings, Gold Beach and Port Orford for nonprofit groups in Curry County.
