Pennies for Pooches is offering pet photos with Santa from noon to 3 p.m. at Woof Bakery, 29525 Ellensburg Ave., Gold Beach. The cost is $10 for an 8x10 portrait. Proceeds benefit the Curry County Animal Shelter. All dogs should be on leashes and cats in carriers. The event will be repeated the following weekend in Harbor.

Democrats of Curry County will have a Holiday Open House from 4 to 7 p.m. at its headquarters, 619 Chetco Ave., Brookings.
