The 13th annual Women’s South Coast Christian Conference will be at Brookings Church of the Nazarene, 1600 Chetco Ave. The keynote speaker will be Poppy Smith, who will speak on the theme “Jesus Makes You Free.” The conference begins at 6 p.m. and continues all day Saturday, April 20, beginning at 9 a.m. The cost for adults is $10 for Friday, $15 for Saturday and $25 for both days. The tall ships Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain will sail into Crescent City Harbor for the Crescent City Tall Ships Festival scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 20, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 21. Both ships’ arrival was originally scheduled for Friday but the Lady Washington’s arrival has been delayed until today because of weather conditions. The Hawaiian Chieftain is expected to arrive on schedule on Friday. The ships will be available for tours and cruises. The Azalea Quilt Guild meets in the Driftwood Estates Mobile Home Park community room, 16063 Driftwood Lane, Harbor. Fun day begins at 10 a.m. Members will be working on their own projects. The evening activities will begin with a social time at 6 followed by a meeting at 6:30. Quilters are encouraged to enter quilts in the Azalea Festival quilt show.
