Wednesday, Sept. 7

•Giraffes on a Raft will perform from 6 to 8 p.m. during Destination Wednesday at The Snug, in the upper level at Brian Scott Gallery, 515 Chetco Ave., Brookings.

Friday, Sept. 9

•Troubaduo, presented by Stagelights Musical Arts Community, will perform a mix of acoustic rock, folk, blues and soul at 7:30 p.m. at The Event Center, 800 Chetco Ave., Brookings. Tickets are $8 in advance or at the door.

•Jerry Moffit on keyboards and Gary Lowdon on sax perform from 6 to 9 p.m. at Nautical Inn, 16850 Highway 101, Smith River.

•Old Time Music Jam will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at  Chetco Activity Center, 550 Chetco Lane, Brookings. Musicians of all ages are welcome. For information, call 541-469-6787. This weekly event has been canceled for Friday, Sept. 16.

Saturday, Sept. 10

•Hootenanny Singalong meets from noon to 2 p.m. at the Chetco Activity Center, 550 Chetco Lane, Brookings. All ages, instruments and voices are welcome. The event is free. For information, call 541-469-6787.

•The 87th Second Saturday Art Walk will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at venues along Chetco Avenue, Oak Street and Art Walk Alley in Brookings.

•The fourth annual Brew & Art Fest is open from noon to 10 p.m. at the Event Center on the Beach, 29392 Ellensburg Ave., Gold Beach.

•Brookings-Harbor Community Theater will hold auditions for “The Reluctant Dragon,” for children ages 5-12, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Harbor Performing Arts Center in the Brookings-Harbor Shopping Center. For information, call 541-661-2473.

Sunday, Sept. 11

•The third annual 9/11 Concert and Candlelight Vigil will be at the Azalea Park bandshell. This year will commemorate the 10th anniversary of the last attack on American soil. The event will begin at 4 p.m. and will include music, speakers, First Responders Ceremony, Emblem Club flag folding, gun salutes and flyovers. In addition there will be raffles and food. 

Monday, Sept. 12

•Curry-Del Norte Orchestra begins rehearsals from 7 to 9 p.m. at Smith River United Methodist Church, 121 Beckstead Ave. For information call Director Gary DeRoest at 541-247-7210.

Tuesday, Sept. 13
