Live jazz is performed from 7 to 9 p.m. at Vista Pub, 1009 Chetco Ave., Brookings.

Friday, Oct. 5

Tim Oakley and Sequoyah Oregon will perform in concert at 7 p.m. at Vista Pub, 1009 Chetco Ave., Brookings.

Jerry Moffit performs on keyboard from 6 to 9 p.m. at Nautical Inn, 16850 Highway 101, Smith River.

Gary Lowdon performs on saxophone from 6 to 9 p.m. at O’Holleran’s Restaurant and Lounge, 1210 Chetco Ave., Brookings. He also performs from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

Old Time Music Jam will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at  Chetco Activity Center, 550 Chetco Lane, Brookings. Musicians of all ages are welcome. For information, call 541-469-6787.

Saturday, Oct. 6

Hootenanny Singalong meets from noon to 2 p.m.  at the Chetco Activity Center, 550 Chetco Lane, Brookings. All ages, instruments and voices are welcome. The event is free. For information, call 541-469-6787.

The Original Kiss Army will perform at 8 p.m. at Elk Valley Casino, 2500 Howland Hill Road, Crescent City. Admission is $10 for people 21 and older. For more information, visit http://www.elkvalleycasino.com.

Tuesday, Oct. 8

Janeen Vick will begin teaching after-school watercolor classes from 3 to 5 p.m. for people age 7 through adult. A repeat of the class will be on Wednesdays. Classes will continue through December. The cost is $10 per class. For more information, call Vick at 541-469-4590.

Thursday, Oct. 11

Pelican Bay Arts Association will have a Halloween meeting at the Manley Art Center and Gallery, 433 Oak St., Brookings. The general meeting will be at 11 a.m. followed by a potluck. After lunch, Lon Goddard will be telling a ghost story that will be continued by people in attendance. Costumes are welcome.

Friday, Oct. 12

Chetco Pelican Players presents “Wait Until Dark” at 7:30 p.m. at the Chetco Playhouse, 1240 Chetco Ave., Brookings.  Shows will also be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, as well as the following two weekends.
