•The Celebration of the Arts will be held in conjunction with the Farmers and Artisans Market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Port of Brookings-Harbor boardwalk. Produce, berries, breads, sweets, flowers, plants, garden items, arts and crafts will be available. The event will continue from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5. •Evolution, the Oregon Coast Lab Band’s jazz ensemble, will perform an outdoor concert at 1 p.m. at Port Orford Heads State Park. The public is welcome to bring a picnic lunch, a blanket or lawn chair for seating.
Wednesday, Aug. 8
•“Jane and Annie at Home” will be presented as part of the “Living History at Hughes House” series. Performances will begin at 11 a.m. with the last show at 3 p.m. and will take place depending on the number of visitors. Admission is free, but donations are welcome. Hughes House is in Cape Blanco State Park north of Port Orford.
Friday, Aug. 10
•Ellensburg Theater Company presents “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” at 7:30 p.m. at the Rogue Playhouse, 94196 Moore St., Gold Beach.
