Tuesday, May 22

•Brookings-Harbor Community Theater will hold auditions for the musical “Lady Pirates of Captain Bree” at 6:30 p.m. at the Harbor Performing Arts Center in the Brookings-Harbor Shopping Center. Parts are available for teens and adults. Auditions will also be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 23. For more information, call Dori Blodgett at 541-661-2473.

•The 16th annual Mr. BHHS pageant will be at 7 p.m. in the Brookings-Harbor High School auditorium, 625 Pioneer Road, Brookings. Tickets are $5 at the door. Proceeds from ticket sales and the annual “dash for cash” will go to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland.

Tuesday, May 23

•The Brookings-Harbor High School bands and choirs will perform in concert in the high school auditorium, 625 Pioneer Road, Brookings. Admission is free. Donations will be accepted.

Thursday, May 24

•Randall Tillery will give an oil painting demonstration beginning at noon, preceded by a potluck, at Crescent Harbor Gallery, 140 Marine Way, Crescent City. Tillery is a member of the Oil Painters of America, The California Arts Club, The Laguna Plein Air Painters Association, and past president of the California Arts League. •Uncharted Shores Academy is presenting “Gold Dust or Bust” – a musical about the California Gold Rush – at 7:15 p.m. at Crescent Elk Auditorium. The cast includes all USA students from kindergarten to grade five. Admission is free.  For more information, call 707-951-5163.

•Award-Winning comedian and Certified Hypnotist Don Barnhart will appear 8 p.m. at Lucky 7 Casino, 350 N. Indian Road, Smith River. •Toni Land and Dale Morgan will perform from 5 to 7 p.m. at  Nautical Inn, 16850 Highway 101, Smith River.

•Chetco Pelican Players will hold auditions for the pirate play “Clankers,” an original production, at 6 p.m. at the Chetco Playhouse, 1240 Chetco Ave., Brookings.
