Wednesday, Sept. 4

Gil Kirk performs vocals and piano from 6 to 9 p.m. at Sebastian’s Seafood Grill, 16011 Boat Basin Road, Harbor. He also performs from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays. For information, call 541-412-7977.

Friday, Sept. 6

Jerry Moffit performs on keyboard from 6 to 9 p.m. at Nautical Inn, 16850 Highway 101, Smith River.

Gary Lowdon performs on saxophone from 6 to 9 p.m. at O’Holleran’s Restaurant and Lounge, 1210 Chetco Ave., Brookings. He also performs from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

Old Time Music Jam will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at  Chetco Activity Center, 550 Chetco Lane, Brookings. Musicians of all ages are welcome. For information, call 541-469-6822.

Saturday, Sept. 7

Hootenanny Singalong meets from noon to 2 p.m. at the Chetco Activity Center, 550 Chetco Lane, Brookings. All ages, instruments and voices are welcome. The event is free. For information, call 541-469-6787.

A public screening of “Love in the Time of Monsters” will be at Crescent City Cinemas, 375 M St., Crescent City. A red carpet event will begin at 6 p.m. where people can meet the writer, producer and cast members. The movie starts at 7. Tickets are $20 and are available at Del Norte Office Supply or Crescent City-Del Norte Chamber of Commerce. Proceeds from the screening of this movie, filmed at Patrick Creek Lodge and Trees of Mystery, benefit Lighthouse Repertory Theatre. For more information, call 707-464-3174.

The sixth annual Gold Beach Brew and Art Fest will be from noon to 10 p.m. at the Event Center on the Beach, 29392 Ellensburg Ave., Gold Beach. It will offer microbrews, artwork and a car show.

Monday, Sept. 9

Pelican Bay Arts Association will have its monthly art change-out day from noon to 2 p.m. in the Manley Art Center and Gallery, 433 Oak St., Brookings.

Thursday, Sept. 12

Pelican Bay Arts Association will have its general meeting at the Manley Art Center and Gallery, 433 Oak St., Brookings.  The meeting will be at 11 a.m. followed by a potluck lunch. A demonstration will be at 12:30 p.m. Paul Kingsbury will be demonstrating how to create acrylic seascapes.

Saturday, Sept. 14

The Chris Lee and Colleen O’Brien Duo from Boulder, Colo., will perform classic and contemporary jazz, standards and bossa-nova on vibes, cello and voice at 2 p.m. at the Curry Public Library, 94341 Third St., Gold Beach. The concert is free.

The 111th Second Saturday Art Walk will be in downtown Brookings from 4 to 7 p.m. Watch the Curry Coastal Pilot for details about locations and special events.

Sunday, Sept. 15

The final concert of the American Music Festival features the bluegrass sounds of Water Tower at 1 p.m. at the stage in Azalea Park, Brookings. The concert is free.

Tuesday, Sept. 17

Del Norte-Curry Community Concert Association present Dallas Brass in concert at 7:30 p.m. at Crescent Elk Auditorium, 994 G St., Crescent City. Tickets are $15 for adults and free for children and students with identification. Season tickets will be on sale for $45 for the four-concert series.
