Chetco Pelican Players presents the Mel Brooks musical “Young Frankenstein” at 7:30 p.m. at the Chetco Playhouse, 1240 Chetco Ave., Brookings. Shows will also be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, as well as the following weekend. Tickets $12 for adults and $5 for students and are available at Chetco Pharmacy and Gifts and Wright’s Custom Framing and Art Supplies in Brookings, at New Wave Video in Harbor and at the door. Ellensburg Theater Company presents a double-feature radio program at 7:30 p.m. at the Rogue Playhouse, 94196 Moore St., Gold Beach. The theater will perform “The Maltese Falcon,” a Sam Spade mystery, and “The Incredible Annalee,” a comedy. The final show will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5. The Coast Redwoods Art Association’s annual Juried Photography Show will have its reception from 6 to 8 p.m. at Crescent Harbor Gallery, 140 Marine Way Crescent City. The Pistol River Concert Association presents Beppe Gambetta — singer, songwriter and guitar picker — at 8 p.m. at the Pistol River Friendship Hall, 24252 Carpenterville Road. Curry Historical Society present “Cemetery Play” at 7 p.m. at the Rogue Cemetery in Hunter Creek. Costumed thespians will present a living history of those buried at the graveyard. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children 7-12 and free for children 6 and younger. Performances will also be at 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6. Tickets are available at the Curry Historical Museum in Gold Beach or at the cemetery gate.

The monthly art change-out day will be from noon to 2 p.m. at Manley Art Center and Gallery, 433 Oak St., Brookings.
Thursday, Oct. 10
Pelican Bay Arts Association will meet at Manley Art Center and Gallery, 433 Oak St., Brookings. The board will meet at its new time, 10 a.m. followed by a general meeting at 11 and a potluck at noon. There will be no demonstration this month. A social time will follow the potluck. The 112th Second Saturday Art Walk will be in downtown Brookings from 4 to 7 p.m. Venues will be near Chetco Avenue, Oak Street, Railroad Street and Art Walk Alley.
