Monday, Nov. 4

The monthly art change-out at Manley Art Center and Gallery, 433 Oak St., Brookings, will be from noon to 2 p.m.

“Creative Mondays” take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Crescent Harbor Gallery, 140 Marine Way, Crescent City. Attendees may come for only part of the day if wished; a 3 p.m. critique is encouraged. This is not limited to painters, but for any artwork a person wants to work on. Thursday, Nov. 7

Lighthouse Repertory Theater presents the musical production of “This is Crescent City” at 7:30 p.m. at Crescent Elk Auditorium, 994 G St., Crescent City. Performances will also be at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 8 and 9, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, as well as the following weekend. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for seniors and children. Tickets are available at Del Norte Office Supply or at the door.

Friday, Nov. 8

Brookings Harbor Community Theater presents “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” at 7:30 p.m.  at the Harbor Performing Arts Center, 97900 Shopping Center Ave. Performances will also be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, as well as the following two weekends. Tickets are $10 for adults, $9 for seniors and $7 for students. Tickets are available at Wright’s Custom Framing and Art Supplies in Brookings, New Wave Video in Harbor or at the door. Cornerstone Assembly of God Church presents an “American Idol” concert at 7 p.m. at the church, 1281 Douglas St., Crescent City.  “American Idol” alums Phil Stacey and Chris Sligh will perform contemporary gospel crossover music. General admission is $10 per person. In addition there are VIP PLUS tickets for $35 that include front-row seating, and VIP tickets for $20 with premium seating. Both VIP packages include a photo opportunity and a “meet and greet” at 5:30 p.m.  Tickets are available at Del Norte Office Supply and http://itickets.com.

Saturday, Nov. 9

The Dance Zone will be offering hula classes from 3 to 4 p.m. for children ages 5 and older. Classes will also be from 6:30 to 7:30 on Tuesdays. Classes will be taught by Ariel Farris. For more information, call Cherita Wilson at 541-254-0817.

The 113th Second Saturday Art Walk will be in downtown Brookings from 4 to 7 p.m. Venues will be near Chetco Avenue, Oak Street, Railroad Street and Art Walk Alley.


Singing telegrams by Georgia Blank, who specializes in old hymns, are being offered to lift spirits at no charge. To schedule a singing telegram, call 541-469-5625.

Pelican Bay Arts Association offers an art rental program for businesses with empty wall space. For more information about the program, call the Manley Art Center and Gallery at 541-469-1807.
