The Pacific Music Guild’s North Coast Chorale will present its spring concert, “Broadway and Beyond,” at 7 p.m. at Crescent Elk Auditorium, 994 G St., Crescent City. Admission is $5 for general and free for children 5 and younger. Tickets are available at Del Norte Office Supply in Crescent City and at the door.

The Del Norte-Curry Community Concert Association presents the Side Street Strutters Jazz Band featuring Meloney Collins at 7:30 p.m. at Crescent Elk Auditorium, 994 G St., Crescent City. Admission is $15 for adults and free for students with identification. Admission is also free for adults who purchase a 2013-14 season ticket, which is $40 for four concerts. A week of Russian Culture begins courtesy of the Mildred Hill Concert Series, Triangle Square Art and Port Orford and Langlois libraries. “The Art of Praise,” a show of paintings and sculptures, will be from 4 to 6 p.m. at Triangle Square Art, 343 Sixth St., Port Orford.
Sunday, May 5
A week of Russian Culture, sponsored by the Mildred Hill Concert Series, Triangle Square Art and Port Orford and Langlois libraries, will include a panel discussion on the connections between Christianity and Orthodox Russian Christianity from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Port Orford Library, 1421 Oregon St. The talk will be about the orthodox ways in the discipline of words, music and art.
The Hootenanny Singalong meets from noon to 2 p.m. at the Chetco Activity Center, 550 Chetco Lane, Brookings. All ages, instruments and voices are welcome. The event is free. For more information, call 541-469-6787.

Thursday, May 9
Pelican Bay Arts Association general meeting will be at the Manley Art Center and Gallery, 433 Oak St., Brookings. The meeting will be at 11 a.m. followed by a potluck at noon. At 12:30 p.m., George Cady will discuss copyright issues.
A week of Russian Culture, sponsored by the Mildred Hill Concert Series, Triangle Square Art and Port Orford and Langlois libraries, presents five singers from St. Petersburg, Russia, performing church music and folk songs. They sing a capella in old Russian and explain the connections to modern music as well as the liturgical connections between Christianity and Orthodox Russian Christianity. Admission is $10 for adults and free for those younger than 18.

Auditions for the TV inspired “Cop Kids The Animated Series, Episode 7: Mystery in My Plant,” will be from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Azalea Park stage. The 107th Second Saturday Art Walk will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at venues within walking distance of Chetco Avenue, Oak Street and Art Walk Alley. Special events, music and art will be highlighted.
