“Creative Mondays” take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Crescent Harbor Gallery, 140 Marine Way, Crescent City. Attendees may come for only part of the day if wished; a 3 p.m. critique is encouraged. This is not limited to painters, but for any artwork a person wants to work on. St. Joseph Catholic Church presents The Irish Variety Show featuring five entertainers performing Emerald Isle-style comedy, music, song and dance. The program will be at 7 p.m. at the church, 319 E St., Crescent City. Tickets are $15 for adults and $50 for a family. Pelican Bay Arts Association meets at 11 a.m. for its general meeting followed by a potluck at noon at the Manley Art Center and Gallery, 433 Oak St., Brookings. At 12:30 p.m., Dawn Phillips of the Chetco Photographers Association will show how to use a point and shoot camera. Those attending are welcome to bring their own cameras for pointers. Live music by Pistol River Contraband and displays by local artists will take place during the grand opening of Mangia Buff Italian buffet, ale and wine garden in the GoldRush Center, 29692 Ellensburg Ave., Gold Beach. Tickets are $10 per person.
