Wednesday, June 26

Gil Kirk performs vocals and piano from 6 to 9 p.m. at Sebastian’s Seafood Grill, 16011 Boat Basin Road, Harbor. He also performs from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays. For information, call 541-412-7977.

A Contra Dance workshop will be at 5 p.m. in the Curry Public Library parking lot, 94341 Third St., Gold Beach. No experience necessary. All are welcome.

Thursday, June 27

Reggae recording artist Junior Toots and The Fyah Squad Band will perform a free concert at the 101 Bar and Grill, 98141 W. Benham Lane, Harbor. The two-hour plus concert is scheduled to start between 9:30 and 10 p.m. This is a 21-and-older event. 

John Hewitt will be giving a watercolor lesson at the Fourth Thursday Art Demonstration at noon at Crescent Harbor Gallery, 140 Marine Way, Crescent City. A finger-food luncheon will be at 11:30 prior to the workshop. All are welcome. For more information, call 707-464-9133.

Lighthouse Repertory Theater presents its annual Fourth of July melodrama at 6:30 p.m. at United Methodist Church, 664 H St., Crescent City. Performances will also be at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 28, 29 and 30. 

Friday, June 28

Artistic License will be from 5 to 6 p.m. at Brian Scott Gallery, 515 Chetco Ave., Brookings. Shirley Hyatt will talk about silk art, Karl Sandstrom will read poetry, Dorothy Marshall will explain and play the dulcimer and Angela Ewing will tell funny stories. Complimentary wine and cheese will be served.

Shaun Ratnour will perform at 7 p.m. at The Vista Pub, 1009 Chetco Ave., Brookings. For more information, call 541-813-1638.

The Chetco Pelican Players presents “Harvey” at 7:30 p.m. at the Chetco Playhouse, 1240 Chetco Ave., Brookings. Final shows will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 29, and 2 p.m. Sunday, June 30. Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for students and are available at Wright’s Custom Framing and Art Supplies and Chetco Pharmacy and Gifts in Brookings, New Wave Video in Harbor and at the door. Jerry Moffit performs on keyboard from 6 to 9 p.m. at Nautical Inn, 16850 Highway 101, Smith River.

Gary Lowdon performs on saxophone from 6 to 9 p.m. at O’Holleran’s Restaurant and Lounge, 1210 Chetco Ave., Brookings. He also performs from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

Old Time Music Jam will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at  Chetco Activity Center, 550 Chetco Lane, Brookings. Musicians of all ages are welcome. For information, call 541-469-6822.

Saturday, June 29

A fundraiser dance to benefit Pennies for Pooches will be from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Chetco Grange Community Center, 97895 Shopping Center Ave., Harbor. Music will be performed by Jurassic Country. Admission is by donation. All ages are welcome.

The third-annual Driftwood Art and Fun Frenetic Sculpture Contest will be in front of Fely’s Restaurant at Sporthaven Beach at the Port of Brookings Harbor. Contestants will create sculptures from driftwood and debris picked up off the beach. Sunday, June 30

American Music Festival presents the blues sounds of the Cee Cee James Band at 1 p.m. at the Azalea Park stage. The concert is free.

Monday, July 1

The monthly art change-out day at Manley Art Center and Gallery will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the gallery, 433 Oak St., Brookings. The gallery theme is “The Wonderful World of Color.” For more information, call Jane Opiat at 541-469-1246.

Thursday, July 4

Pistol River Concert Association presents Bear Attack at 8 p.m. at the Pistol River Friendship Hall, 24252 Carpenterville Road.
