The monthly art change-out at Manley Art Center and Gallery will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the gallery, 433 Oak St., Brookings.
“Creative Mondays” take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Crescent Harbor Gallery, 140 Marine Way, Crescent City. Attendees may come for only part of the day if wished; a 3 p.m. critique is encouraged. This is not limited to painters, but for any artwork a person wants to work on. The Pelican Bay Arts Association general meeting will be at 11 a.m. followed by a potluck at noon and a social gathering at 12:30 p.m. Members will be electing a new board of directors and voting on a bylaws revision. The meeting will be at Manley Art Center and Gallery, 433 Oak St., Brookings.

A celebration of life for artist Liz James will be during an open house from 3 to 6 p.m. at Manley Art Center and Gallery, 433 Oak St., Brookings.
Brian Scott Gallery will host a Second Saturday Art Event from 4 to 7 p.m. at the gallery, 515 Chetco Ave., Brookings. At 5 p.m. Thomas Sheets will talk, followed by a reading by Cecilia Johnson at 5:30. The evening will end at 6 p.m. with ragtime pieces performed by Christie Dolan. Refreshments will be served. The event is free.
The Pistol River Concert Association presents The Quiet Americans with bassist Ronnie Ontiveros in concert at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at the Pistol River Friendship Hall, 24252 Carpenterville Road, Pistol River. Friends of Music will host its second annual Young Artists Concert and Scholarship Award at 3 p.m. at Brookings Seventh-day Adventist Church, 102 Park Ave. Three finalists will perform during this free concert.
