Zack Freiwald will have a CD release party at 6:30 p.m.  at Gordi Bros., 4301 Lake Earl Drive, Crescent City.

Brookings Harbor Community Theater presents the children’s musical “Pocahontas” at 7:30 p.m. at the Harbor Performing Arts Center, 97900 Shopping Center Ave. The final performance will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26. Tickets are $10 for adults, $9 for seniors, $7 for students and  $5 for children 5 and younger. Tickets may be purchased at New Wave Video in Harbor or Wright’s Custom Framing and Art Supplies in Brookings. For information and reservations, call 541-661-2473.

Monday, Jan. 27

“Creative Mondays” take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Crescent Harbor Gallery, 140 Marine Way, Crescent City. Attendees may come for only part of the day if wished; a 3 p.m. critique is encouraged. This is not limited to painters, but for any artwork a person wants to work on. Saturday, Feb. 1

Oregon Old Time Fiddlers Association presents its first Winter Festival at the Chetco Grange Community Center, 97895 Shopping Center Ave., Harbor. A performance will be from noon to 2 p.m. with an open acoustic jam following until everyone is tired. Admission is free.

Friday, Feb. 7

Chetco Pelican Players presents the audience-participation production of “The Clumsy Custard Horror Show” at 7:30 p.m. at the Chetco Playhouse, 1240 Chetco Ave., Brookings. Shows will also be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, as well as the following two weekends. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children and are available at Wright’s Custom Framing and Art Supplies in Brookings and New Wave Video in Harbor. For reservations, call 541-469-1877.


Pelican Bay Arts Association offers an art rental program for businesses with empty wall space. For more information about the program, call the Manley Art Center and Gallery at 541-469-1807.
