Wednesday, Feb. 19

Watercolor classes taught by Janeen Vick will be from 3 to 5 p.m. at Wright’s Custom Framing and Art Supplies, 810 Chetco Ave., Brookings. The cost is $6 per person per session. A second person in the same family may take the class for half price.  The class will continue for nine more weeks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Students may attend either class. Thursday, Feb. 20

Daniel and the Blonde will perform acoustic Americana music at 7 p.m. at Vista Pub, 1009 Chetco Ave., Brookings.

Friday, Feb. 21

Ellensburg Theater Company presents “Who’s on First?” by Jack Sharkey at 7 p.m. at Rogue Playhouse, 94196 Moore St., Gold Beach. Performances will also be at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, as well as the following Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Chetco Pelican Players presents the audience-participation production of “The Clumsy Custard Horror Show” at 7:30 p.m. at the Chetco Playhouse, 1240 Chetco Ave., Brookings. Final shows will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23,. The Promote Our Pool Foundation stages a Community Talent Show at 6 p.m. at Crescent Elk School, 994 G St., Crescent City, as a fundraiser for the Fred Endert Municipal Swimming Pool. For information: 707-464-7769.

Sunday, Feb. 23

Del Norte-Curry Community Concert Association presents Franc D’Ambrosio in concert at 3 p.m. at Crescent Elk Auditorium, 994 G St., Crescent City. The program is titled “I’ll Be Seeing Youz … A Bronx Boys Musical Perspective of World War II.” Tickets are $15 at the door. Children and students are admitted free. Thursday, Feb. 27

Rosemary Garcia, a Southern California artist now living in Crescent City, will be doing a seaside scene in acrylics at noon during the fourth Thursday demonstration at Crescent Harbor Gallery, 140 Marine Way, Crescent City. Saturday, March 1

The Mildred Hill Concert Series begins its 2014 season with a performance of the Kevin Carr Duo on bagpipes and guitar, plus stories, at 7 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 2015 Washington St., Port Orford. Tickets are $12 for adults and free for children 18 and younger. A bagpipes workshop will precede the concert at 1:30 p.m. at Port Orford Library, 1420 Oregon St. 

Friends of Music and Stagelights combine forces to present Trio Voronezh, performing a diverse repertoire of music, at 7:30 p.m. at Lucky 7 Casino, 350 N. Indian Road, Smith River.  Tickets are $20 for all seats and are available at Wright’s Custom Framing and Art Supplies, Curry Coastal Pilot and at the door.

Joint Chiefs will be performing for a dance at 7 p.m. at the Rogue Playhouse, 94196 Moore St., Gold Beach. Admission is $5 for anyone with a ticket stub from the Ellensburg Theater Production “Who’s on First,” or $10 per person or $15 per couple.


Singing telegrams by Georgia Blank, who specializes in old hymns, are being offered to lift spirits at no charge. To schedule a singing telegram, call 541-469-5625.
